Data on the first month since the start of Operation “Rising Lion”: Tel Aviv is the city with the largest number of claims
On the first month since the outbreak of the war with Iran, the Tax Authority publishes data regarding claims filed with the Compensation Fund - Property Tax, for damage to buildings, vehicles, contents, equipment and business inventory.
So far, 49,943 claims for property damage have been submitted to the compensation fund, of which 39,093 claims are for damage to the building, 5,052 for damage to the vehicle and 5,609 for damage to contents and equipment. 29,117 claims were filed by private individuals, 18,075 by businesses, and the remainder by public bodies or house committees.
Of the total claims filed since June 13, 34,273 are claims in which an appraiser has already visited the site and estimated the damage, or claims filed under the fast track, which does not require an appraiser visit.
In 4,398 of the claims, a final appraiser’s assessment was received and compensation was paid or an advance was paid, with the remainder to be paid according to the progress of the restoration. The total amount paid so far is approximately 305 NIS million. The remaining claims are new claims, claims where an appraiser has not yet visited, claims where appraisers have arrived in the area and the evacuated residents were not there, and claims from buildings that are not yet accessible for safety reasons or where an appraiser has arrived and the residents were not there.
