Numerous weapons, including dozens of fragmentation grenades, explosive devices, and firearms, were found in the home of a Jerusalem resident.

Suspect in possession arrested. In a targeted operational activity by officers of the Moriah Police Station in the Jerusalem District, in cooperation with the Military Police, a search was conducted yesterday in a residential home in Jerusalem to locate a suspect who is a deserter in his 20s. During the searches in his home, a smoke grenade was found, which raised suspicion of the existence of additional weapons. Border Police dog handlers and Jerusalem District bomb disposal technicians were called to the scene. During the search, the forces uncovered many and varied weapons, which were hidden in different rooms in the house – including the playroom, the parents’ room, and the children’s rooms. Among the many items found were 36 grenades of various types – 18 of them fragmentation grenades, explosive devices, a Kalashnikov rifle, a hunting rifle, tools for creating and assembling explosives, various sights, a large amount of ammunition including belts, and a lot of combat equipment. The homeowner, in his 50s, was arrested for investigation.
