Jerusalem, 11 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — US House Speaker Mike Johnson will address the Knesset plenary on June 22 during an official visit to Israel at the invitation of Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana. Johnson will be only the third House Speaker in history to speak before the Israeli legislature, following Newt Gingrich in 1998 and Kevin McCarthy in 2023.
Ohana praised Johnson as “a great friend of Israel and the Jewish people,” highlighting the pair’s ongoing cooperation, which began in 2019 and intensified following the October 7 attacks.
