Israeli authorities uncover alleged medical service fraud endangering seniors, with five arrests in Haifa and Nesher. Companies accused of impersonating doctors
Jerusalem, 12 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — israeli police and the Tax Authority uncovered a suspected large-scale fraud targeting hundreds of elderly people nationwide, allegedly by three medical service companies. Authorities say the companies collected millions of shekels while in some cases refusing to provide life-saving services, impersonating doctors, and giving treatments that endangered lives. In a coordinated raid Monday night, police arrested five Haifa and Nesher residents from the same family who run the companies, seizing property worth hundreds of thousands of shekels.
The companies are also suspected of hiding millions in revenue from tax authorities.
