Jerusalem, 15 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Indian Army has selected Meprolight’s MEPRO X6 telescopic sight as the dedicated daytime optic for NEGEV machine guns after a multi-year tender and extensive field testing process. The selection followed evaluations of reliability, durability, accuracy and performance under harsh operational conditions, aimed at improving long-range target identification and engagement.
Deliveries will be routed through Bharat Electronics Limited, with local manufacturing enabled via a technology transfer agreement with RRP Defense under India’s Make in India initiative.
Meprolight, part of the SK Group, both based in Israel, said the program strengthens its presence in India and supports long-term industrial cooperation.
