Jerusalem, 22 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The government of Israel filed a civil lawsuit in the Haifa Magistrate’s Court for approximately 2 million Shekels ($670,000) against the four terrorists from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine who kidnapped and murdered the soldier Moshe Tamam in 1984.

The lawsuit was filed against convicted terrorists Ibrahim Abd al-Razzaq Bayadsa, Ibrahim Nayef Abu Mokh, and Saleh (formerly Rushdi) Abu Mokh, as well as against the estate of terrorist Walid Nimr Asaad Daka, who was in charge of the cell and ordered Tamam’s murder. Daka died in 2024 while serving his sentence.

It was filed on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, with the aim of returning to the state treasury – and consequently to the entire public – the payments that the state paid and is paying to the bereaved parents of the late Moshe Tamam, Galia Tamam, and Eliyahu Tamam, for the financial damages caused by the terrorists’ actions. This, of course, is in addition to the life imprisonment sentence they were sentenced to in the criminal proceedings in 1987.
