Jerusalem, 16 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Consumer Protection and Fair Trade Authority is launching for the first time a process to establish and operate a new national volunteer network, designed to increase awareness of fair trade and Consumer protection in Israel, strengthen familiarity with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law, and encourage a culture of fair trade, transparency, and business responsibility .
The volunteer system was established based on a public perception that making information accessible to traders and raising awareness of the legal provisions among the trading public contributes to reducing consumer violations, strengthening public trust in consumer transactions, and deepening norms of fairness, responsibility, and transparency in The Israeli market.
The establishment of the volunteer system is part of the Authority’s operational concept, which sees outreach, education, and access to information as key tools for preventing consumer violations, strengthening public confidence in the market, and improving the level of compliance with legal provisions.
