Returning the platforms to standard operations will allow natural gas to be supplied to all clients in accordance with the existing sales agreements, enable the resumption of natural gas exports to neighboring countries – Egypt and Jordan, contribute to the increase of state revenues from taxes and royalties, and enhance the energy market’s flexibility and redundancy in operating the electricity and industrial sectors.
Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Eli Cohen has expressed his gratitude to the personnel operating the different platforms, as well as the relevant staff at the Ministry and state-owned companies, for their activities in preparation for all scenarios, and for their professional conduct and success in adapting the fuel mix.
