Palestinian Mob Tries to Lynch Off-Duty Soldier
Palestinian mob attacks off-duty soldier and Israeli civilian near Duma, soldier forced to fire to neutralize threat. Injuries reported.
Jerusalem, 13 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — An off-duty IDF soldier and an Israeli civilian were lightly injured on Wednesday when dozens of Palestinians attacked them with stones near the village of Duma in the Binyamin region this morning, the Israel Defense Forces said.
The soldier first fired into the air, then shot to neutralize the threat after the assailants persisted, with a hit detected. The attackers later tried to seize the soldier’s weapon before additional Israeli forces arrived, ending the incident. Both injured received on-site medical care.
Unconfirmed Arab media reports say one of the attackers was killed.
