Jerusalem, 24 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz Sunday went to the Israel Air Force headquarters in Tel Aviv to observe the Air Force’s strikes against Houthi regime targets in Yemen. The strikes came in response to repeated Houthi attacks against Israel
“The Air Force attacked strategic targets in Yemen again today,” said Netanyahu. “It attacked the presidential palace in the heart of the capital Sana’a, the city’s power plant, the fuel tanks that supply it.”
“The Houthi terrorist regime is learning the hard way that it will pay and is paying a very heavy price for its aggression against the State of Israel,” he added. “Whoever attacks us – we will attack them. Whoever plans to attack us – we will attack them. I think the entire region is learning the strength of the hand and the determination of the State of Israel.”
Israeli fighter jets struck multiple military targets belonging to the Houthi regime in Sanaa, deep inside Yemen, on Sunday. The strikes were carried out with intelligence guidance from the Military Intelligence Directorate.
According to the IDF, the targets included a military compound housing the presidential palace, the Asar and Hizaz power stations, and a fuel storage facility—all of which were being used for the Houthis’ military activities.
The IDF said that the presidential palace in Sanaa serves as part of a military compound from which the Houthis direct their operations. The targeted power stations, Asar and Hizaz, were described as significant electricity infrastructure exploited by the Houthis for military purposes.
