Israel Aerospace Industries awarded Israel Defense Prize for cutting-edge intelligence aircraft Shavit, Eitam, and Oron. Unprecedented security contributions.
Jerusalem, 2 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has been awarded the Israel Defense Prize for its development and production of the Shavit, Eitam, and Oron Special Mission Aircraft, recognized for their major contribution to Israel’s security. These aircraft integrate advanced command, control, communication, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance technologies. Their capabilities were highlighted during the war in Gaza, maintaining high operational availability over 22 months.
Based on high-performance business jets, the aircraft feature AI-enhanced intelligence systems, long-range sensors, and real-time tracking, giving Israel unprecedented aerial, maritime, and signals intelligence.
