Jerusalem, 5 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Ministry of Finance and the Histadrut (Israel’s national labor federation – signed a collective agreement regarding the payment of wages to public sector employees who were prevented from working during Operation “Rising Lion.”

Employees whose workplace was closed or reduced during that time due to IDF (Israel Defense Forces) Home Front Command guidelines, and were not called to work or to be replaced at another workplace, including remote work, will be entitled to 100% of their salary paid for vacation, for each day of absence during the operation period, at the employer’s expense.

An employee who was absent from his workplace to care for his child due to the closure of his child’s educational institution (and whose workplace did not provide him with an adequate framework for caring for his child) and/or employees who were evacuated from their place of residence due to damage caused to their home as a result of the war – will be entitled to 100% of the salary paid for vacation, at the employer’s expense, in accordance with the period defined in the agreement.

An employee whose workplace was closed or reduced due to Home Front Command directives, and was not called to work or to be replaced at another workplace – including remote work – will be entitled to a salary payment of 100% of the salary paid for vacation, at the employer’s expense.
