240 ultra-Orthodox Israelis enlist in the military for September call ups, including 198 combat soldiers and 42 in combat support roles.
Jerusalem, 2 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that 240 members of the ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) community reported for the 1st draft day for the September call ups. These included 198 who are slated to be combat soldiers themselves and 42 who will serve in combat support roles.
