Jerusalem, 16 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) said that Israel Air Force aircraft are continuing their strikes against targets of the Syrian regime’s military in southern Syria, as part of a campaign to protect the Druze minority population there from massacres reportedly being perpetrated by the regime.
In recent hours, several armored vehicles in Syria, armed with heavy machine guns and weapons, were attacked as they made their way to the Suwayda area in southern Syria.
In addition, firing positions, weapons depots and other military targets of the Syrian regime’s military in southern Syria were attacked.
“The IDF continues to monitor developments and activities against Druze civilians in southern Syria and,” it said, “in accordance with the directives of the political echelon, is attacking in the area and is prepared for various scenarios.”
